Ambientación
Ryoma Echizen, un joven talento del tenis lucha por hacerse un lugar en el equipo de su escuela, con la ambición oculta de querer derrotar a su padre, Nanjiro Echizen, una leyenda en el mismo deporte. Tras vivir con toda su familia en Estados Unidos se muda a Japón, tierra natal de su padre, tiene que adaptarse a su nueva vida en el instituto Seishun Gakuen donde se apunta al club de tenis con altas ambiciones. A partir de este momento, su vida cambiará junto a sus compañeros de equipo; rivales intentarán detenerlo con mejor o peor fortuna para robarle el título de "Príncipe del tenis".

La historia actual del foro apunta a lo que sucede después de los nacionales, donde ya el equipo de tenis de Seigaku se corona como el número uno de Japón habiendo derrotado al poderoso Rikkai Dai. A portas del campamento U-17 cada equipo se propone a dar lo mejor de si para cumplir siguiente año, entrenando a las siguientes generaciones y superando los nuevos obstáculos que les aparecen en el camino.

¿Qué será de todos ellos luego de los lazos que formaron durante los torneos?, y aún más cuando nuevas personas se suman a su mundo.
